You stated in another email that you wern't sure if 'this' was the right place. I think it is because there are a number of people who are directly interested in the Zizek intervention into the Deleuze texts. My own initial irritation (rant) with Zizek's text we should ignore - because it's probably not worth exploring to far beyond what may come out during the discussion of the specific text. regards steve Evgeni Pavlov wrote: >Steve, >i have just reread your comments about zizek's reading of deleuze and >i didn't really find anything that specifically refers to zizek's >position(s) on deleuze - you start by stating that zizek's book is >inferior to badiou's, i.e. a personal preference statement because no >arguments are visible, ok, your call. then comes your summary of >zizek's position in terms of the *real* however it is not clear if >you are simply summarizing zizek or presenting his argument in >deleuze book - you continue with a couple of observations about >zizek's style, again your own observations that are not supported by >any arguments, for example, I enjoy reading zizek's repetitions and >his cute ways of raising questions in *what if*s - then comes your >speech about *celebrity intellectual* and that's about it. so i >wonder if i missed your posting where you directly address a >multitude of issues that are raised by zizek's in his deleuze book, >cuz i honestly wouldn't know where to begin... > >evgeni > >__________________________________ >Do you Yahoo!? >Free Pop-Up Blocker - Get it now >http://companion.yahoo.com/ > > >
