steve,
if by the *text* you mean the book, then, yes, i haven't had a chance
to say anything, because everytime i do (say deleuze as a philosopher
of the virtual), i hear a loud *nope* from you without many
arguments; if you mean the *text* you distorted so childishly, then
if you were more attentive, you would have noticed that i responed to
your letter where you quote zizek trying to answer my previous
question regarding you statement that zizek has a negative attitude
towards deleuze's notion of the virtual.

here is my letter of Dec. 6 again:

> Zizek says "...the first reaction to it should be to oppose
> Deleuze's notion of the virtual to the all-pervasive topic of
> virtual reality....Virtual reality in itself is a rather miserable
> idea..."

i take it as a proof-text of zizek's negative attitude towards
deleuze's notion of the virtual, right? even if i haven't had a text
in front of me still even from your quote it's clear that zizek
doesn't have any problems with deleuze's virtual - the parag. you
quote simply attempts to show that while talking about *virtual* in
deleuze one needs to be careful not to confuse it with the idea of
the virtual as in *virtual reality* - why zizek dislikes *vitual
reality*, because its *virtual* is the opposite (or at least very
different from) of what he wants to talk about in deleuze - *virtual*
of VR is secondary and imitative of *actual* that is supposedly more
real, *virtual* of deleuze's v/a pair is RICHER and full of
potentialities, thus *actual* depends on the *virtual* not the other
way around as VR idea. if you don't like this, you have a right to do
so; if you disagree with zizek's take on VR, fine with me, give me
some arguments, but that has little to do with zizek's discussion of
DELEUZE's notion of the virtual.
