There is a compendium work edited by Howard Stein and William Niederland 
called "Maps from the Mind: readings in psychogeography." Within this work 
four articles, from 1954-59, are mentioned. A brief survey of these essays 
reveal much on geographic symbolism and cognitive implications of this, but 
never directly refer to the word "psychogeography."

Does this enlighten at all?
