Subject: USER LETTER: ME Archive

We get quite a few letters. I'd like to pass along the odd one (though I
will strip the email address and name, since this mailing list is archived
by Spoon, and these people are writing privately, and anything remotely
personal will be edited out -- what is the policy on list archives,
Malgosia? Can some posts be expunged from the archive?).

Anyone heard of the school he is referring to here? I have often thought
about trying to enlist a class in the process of transcribing a major work
-- like maybe the Grundrisse (which, btw, we have the okay of the copyright
holder, in this case the actual translator, to use! No small gain for an
only "recently" translated work).

Ken.

Subject: ME Archive

** High Priority **

I am a student at the New School for Social Research in NYC...I
was wondering, considering the School's Marxist heritage that you had
spoken to anyone hear about help with transcription or providing a mirror
site for the ME Archive?

I would be interested to help transcribe this summer, but I do not know
what you need...by the way, when do you expect Volume I of Capital to
be completed?

When you say thousands of volumes of ME works were "mulched" by
Progress Publishers, do you mean they were literally destroyed and
recycled? If so, what a waste.

Anyway, congratulations on the project so far and hope you will be able
to keep it up...let me know what is available to do...

Thanks!
