Actually it is an official list and has been announced--twice really, since
I didn't include all the appropriate information the first time. It was
however, as Ang pointed out to me, essentially a closed list since the link
on the Spoons homepage was not alive. In other words, anyone searching for
a list related to feminism wouldn't find it--just current spoons
subscribers who saw the announcement. This has very recently been corrected
by Jon and malgosia when it was called to their attention.

I avoided usenet, but did send an announcement to a couple of women's
socialist groups, and at least a few of their members are subscribed.

I agree with Jerry. On the other hand, consensus was pretty strong in
previous discussion to have this be an unmoderated forum, so people are
free to post as they wish.

One thing the list needs is a "moderator". I have asked several people
privately to take this over, but so far everyone is already as
overcommitted as I am. So here is a general appeal. The person has to at
least a technical representative including subscribing to the
marx-administration list. This takes very little in time or skills. It
really needs to be someone that would have the time and interest to
encourage discussion too, as Lisa Rogers would have.

I think Yoshie would be wonderful. How about it? (As an incentive, I just
happen to have Jose-Carlos Mariategui III's e-mail address. He's very
charming despite of his rather hard-to-understand English. Grin.).
