Well for better or worse, Lisa was an inspiration for me to begin to speak
up on these overwhelmingly male lists. When I first subbed to the then one
Marxism List, she was the only female posting regularly. Though we didn't
share much in common politically, and never got personally aquainted, her
strong spirit and ability to speak her mind was admirable.

I am also thinking about Miriam Gordon who is burying her long-time
companion, Nils Dahl in Norway today. Both Miriam and Nils devoted much of
their long lives to the movement, and of course, Nils was once Trotsky's
bodyguard and companion. Miriam was a supporter of the Fourth and USec for
some time.

I'd like to think this will be a place that would please both Lisa and Miriam.
Therfore, I won't volunteer to be moderator except for in a technical
capacity, but I share Jerry's hope that someone does. Ang?
