Yes, it did seem authoritarian, but given the lack of dialogue in Mr. Malecki's
responses, as well his overly long posts and condescending lecturing style, I
appreciated this action.  I have seen too many good lists get fillibustered and
dragged off topic by subscribers who are more interested in a positional agenda
than really discussing ideas.

Maybe a better first response would have been to ask Mr. Malecki to limit his
responses?  No more than 2 per day, 2 screen limit.  

Free speech does not mean that you can say whatever you want, all the time, and
the rest of us have to politely give you the space.  Since "shut up" and "back
off" didn't work, maybe it was an appropriate action.
