I think that what Margaret calls "the Class of the Inclusive" are and will
probably remain highly visible, but will there be a "sizable"
representation of racial minorities there in the future? How do you factor
in the end of affirmative action, continuing attacks on public education,
increasing costs of higher education, the downsizing of the public sector
employment, and so on? (I understand that those who are called "black
middle class," for instance, are heavily concentrated in the state or the
quasi-state sector.)
