Trust me, this has nothing to do with your screenname. I too received about
2 "invites" per mailbox...I have (5) aliases at AOL. Mass-mailings
are...well...MASS mailings. Anyway, I sent them a little letter (not really
bashing them..I was in a good mood at the time...damn) inviting the "ladies
in waiting" to tell me about themselves, their (economic) backgrounds, etc.
I am expecting to receive some kind of formletter in which all the women (or
the organization speaking on behalf of the women) praise the service and
shit. So uh, are mail-order brides union?
Being Tormented and Tormenting Others,
Heather.

"To whom it may concern,
I am an undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma in Norman (U.S.)
majoring in Women's Studies. I usually just ignore all of these sad e-mails
advertising women as commodities that cater to a group of American men whose
only charm is that they have U.S. citizenship. However, this time I decided
to throw caution to the wind and reply to your invitation to "Meet Russian
Ladies". I would be interested in receiving any e-letters from the women in
your organization concerning their feelings about this method of finding a
husband, love, economic opportunity, and freedom. Further, I would
appreciate any information (personal accounts) that they can give about the
conditions from which they are coming from in Russia.
Thank You,
