Thanks to all who responded to my query about Teresa Ebert. I knew it
was bound to sound hopelessly naive to most of you, but I still wanted
to ask, and I am grateful to you all for taking it seriously and not
ridiculing me. (How's that for good feminine modesty?)

In case anyone might still be pondering a response, just wanted to let
you know that I will be unsubscribing or setting nomail (haven't
checked the listserv's options yet) for the month of August. Off to
Moscow, St. Pete, Warsaw, and Prague, then swinging around via Vienna
and Brussels to Leiden for a conference.

I may bring the topic up again when I get back, especially the last
part which no one took up on spirit and matter....
