SPEAK OUT AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY!

Police brutality is an epidemic in communities across America.
In Detroit, moves towards a new trial for the cops who killed
Malice Green and the attacks on the Detroit newspaper strikers
are a few examples of how Detroit's long history of police
brutality shows no signs of coming to an end. The recent
beatings of Black youth by Pontiac police and recent cop attacks
on people of color in the Lansing area urgently demands a response.
October 22nd has been declared a national day of protest against
police brutality, repression, and the criminalization of a
generation. Demonstrations, teach-ins, concerts, and other
events will be taking place in cities across the country to raise
public awareness and to take action against police violence.
October 22nd will also be a day for the remembrance of those
who have been killed and/or brutalized by the police.

Wearing black on the 22nd is one way of showing your opposition
to cop terror and of expressing your solidarity with all of the
victims. Join us in demanding an end to police brutality to
send a clear message that we will fight back!

Come together for a speak out and public protest--Come testify
>from your own experience!

Sponsored by the DETROIT OCTOBER 22nd COALITION
