Subject: M-G: Sweden-Polarization continues!

The polarization of the Social democracy continues. Every week there is a
list of new trade union locals that have retracted their economic support to
the Social Democratic party.

And in Sweden where everything is politisized from the store you by your
food in to the state church some interesting things are happening. On
Saturday a priest organised a demonstration against the Social Democratic
government and its politics. In talking with the press he said that his
father and 8 brothers had been at Adalen in 31. He said that the Social
Democracy which has its roots in the workers movement has betrayed every or
any kind of principle.

The pensioners are also beginning to move and and iniative is being taken to
organise an independent pensioners party. The common denominater is that the
Social Democracy has deserted them!

Here up in the North where everybody gossips the discussion topic is not any
longer *how* the Social Democrats have betrayed but why. However no real
discussion on alternatives is forth coming as of yet. At least in and
organised way.

Even the Social democratic Party is getting worried. And some of there
people in Stockholm held a meeting on party democracy. Saying that before
the decisions were made after a discussion out in the districts of the party
and today the decisions are made in the parliment by a little click and then
sent out to the party districts for approval.

The opinion polls are giving the Euro-Communists 13 to 14 percent of the
vote in polls. These are historical numbers for a party that always had to
fight to get over the 4 % level to come into the parliment.
