On sectist feuding

I=92ve been on these lists for about a week now and I can say this could
be a hell of an useful and exciting place to be... if it weren=92t for the
damn endless sect feuding.
Isntead of an open space for discussion and mutual enrichment between
marxists and, eventually, other revolutionary socialists, I see a
battlefield for completely sterile trench warfare between some
embittered, imobile sects, with their cathecisms and handbooks raised
high and some schrapnels being fired now and then.
Their main claim seems to be: I am the one and only descendent of an
unbroken chain of correct lines going back to Adam and Eve. I=92ll stick
my banner on the soil here and the working class will eventually gather
around me for guidance. This is almost unbelievably stupid. Can=92t they
=93zoom out=94 a little bit and see how ridicolously small they are, in fact
what damn fools they are making of themselves. When the masses of
workers hit the streets they=92ll just walk over them without even
noticing they were there in waiting, tending a leaflet or two. They=92ll
bring their own leaders (thank you so kind) and the sects will be their
favourite joke. In fact, that must already have happen in a number of
times.
I=92ll tell you all: maos (sorry Rolf), trots, state caps,
neo-krutchevites, whatever. Stop it now. It=92s very foolish indeed to
think any of you will ultimately win this war in a cup a tea. I don=92t
want to sound desrespectful (or gory), but I=92m beginning to think that
the only hope is that you=92ll just start dying away with your schematic
formulae always on your trembling lips until the very last minute.

Advice for the young:
Stop listening to these morons. We=92ve got to buid something totally
anew. Study Marx and Engels very carefully. Some Lenin too - to be taken
with a especially critically alert mind. The only split that can teach
you something really important (I would call it the archetypal split) is
the Zimmerwald Left=92s one. But you can read Rosa vs. Bernstein too. Now
go for economic history and study carefully the economics of modern
capitalism. With all this you can study all the revolutionary wave of
the XX century (Russia, China, Cuba, Vietnam, etc.) by your own without
leaning on some =93party=94 guidelines. It=92s now time for you to start
working with people who have real dirt in their nails.
We need workers organization built anew. Kick out the corrupt union
leaders or build entirely new ones. Create international links for
collective bargaining with the big bosses and the multinationals. We
must study the laws of unequal development, international trade, the
theory of imperialism, so we can buid (in fact negociate) unity between
workers of different countries, with different levels of productivity.
We need to go global, in order to respond to the bosses globalization
offensive.
Once we have a solid international economic organization of workers, we
can start thinking in building a party with its most decided and learned
vanguard. Until then, theory and cadre formation will take place in
organs of press or clubs like this one, directly linked to the economic
mobilization of the working masses.
