dear friends

Louis P's greatest achilles heel (among others) is his covering
up and slurring over the historical role of social democracy (SD).,
esp . from 1914 in working with the state /imperialism to gear its
own nation states toward mass efficeincy and slaughter of the
imperialist WW1.
(The SD was in many countries originally a progressive but flawed
trend which by the early 20th cent. was rotting and corrupted
by class collaboration and elitist/lawyerist parliamentary
conceptions.)
Study Luxembourg, Lenin, S. Pankhurst , J. Maclean, et al. on this.

In Germany and other bourgeois states before and after
the armistice of 1918, the SD apparatus again showed its true nature
by UNITING with the right wing , the reichswehr, the freikorps
(forrrunners of the Nazis), monarchists and other white guards
to smash up in blood the mass movement of workers councils/sovietized
from 1917- 23. Louis P's view is that SD support for imperialist butchery and
then helping the rich drown the rev. workers in more blood
and running many a bourgeois state for capital since is
easily forgivable. I think workers slaughtered by their actions
in the past and those rising up anew today would/will see
it quite differently.
The SD 2nd Int. trend (Mensheviks , et al.) passed to the counterrevolution
openly
in 1914. Louis P., there is no retrieving it , the capitalists still love
the SDs and still need them to help confuse and corrupt workers.!
Your unity is unity of counterrevolutionaries!

Louis P. , some of us in this period are going thru the pains
in this period of ebb trying to correct our past mistakes so we
can be of some good use to todays and future working class combat.
You need to look much more critically at your own past social democratic
background/experience ( e.g. US Committees of Correspondence
(for Clinton) group , etc.) and deal with it.
Then you probably would not put forward these absurdities of
yours like communists/socialists uniting with cunterrevolutionary
groups/trends.

merry winter solstice,

Neil
