Caruso >e-mail: >AnthonyCaruso-AT-juno.com >au847-AT-detroit.freenet.org It is not at all black and white as you try to present the question above. In fact it is a very dialectical problem and answers. But we have to have the principle clear first. I see the above as a somewhat disguised attempt for Tony to say I feel a little bit uneasy about this Ebonic stuff thus I will be clever and pose a question with some cloak and dagger "devils advocate stuff, hoping to get some answers. I think that is good. Things like the ebonic stuff which are heately engaged in on the Usenet forum are important for using as a platform for communists to agitate before a very large audience. But in answer it is both yes and no to the question. Every political intervention on a serious question causes problems. It has to do both with the ideology of the ruling class and also the combined and uneven development of both poor and working class people connected to a leadership who stands as the spokesman of the classes on as particular question. Thus in this question Ebonics, as everything else, one has to take a clear and principled postion on the question and then fight it out with all of the other conflicting interests.
