Of course, countless examples of heterosexual aggression can be offered. The moral of the story was simple: it is possible to take a *principled* stand against persecution of homosexuals without advocating a homosexual (or for that matter, heterosexual) lifestyle. And when the chips are down, as was in A's case, most of the liberal defenders of homosexual rights can go over rapidly to the enemy camp as most of the hostel members did. Ultimately, as in every case, it is concrete practice that counts and not empty rhetorical slogans against racism, homophobia, caste system, capitalism frequently coming from the liberal left intellectuals.
