I write this from my house close to the Bosphorus Strait, Istanbul, Turkey. Not the US. Far from the US. Not far enough, but far. >I agree. The bosses who run M-I are very `territorial'. It think Correction number four. We *don't* run Marxism-International. Most of the work in moderation was trying to keep the number of posts to three. There were a few warnings, and most of the list members have been very helpful. So far, we've not expelled anyone. We've not censored any political current. We've not asked anyone to tone down the political debate. Our rules are clear. If anyone has any problems with the way the list is moderated, feel free to contact the moderators or make your case publicly. But, please, don't assume that we moderate in such and such a way and then criticise a figment of your imagination. Also, Louis G. has, from day one, always been against expelling anyone, even warning them. You may not like the tone of his political arguments, but you can't cite one single case where he used, or attempted to use, or hinted to attempt to use, his position as a moderator in any argument. Jon Flanders, who has been very busy due to his job as a railroad worker, has had very little time to do the day-to-day checking of the lists. As a result, I get to do most of the "behind-the-scenes" reminding of rules, warnings, etc. Just because the two other moderators are male, you assume that they run the whole show, throwing around the weight of their "male egos". If anything is male chauvinism, this is. Zeynep >I agree. The bosses who run M-I are very `territorial'.
