Admittedly - if he was serious.

Can he have been that?

I think - and hope - he was drawing out the "reasoning" of those
M-I Confederacy people to its logical conclusion.

I on my part would not have reasoned like that.
But then I never wanted to live in that Confederacy,
even for a second, anyway.
