Subject: M-G: A letter from the moderators..


Dear List,

In the mail this morning i recieved a letter which I take is a half assed
warning from the moderaters. The issue the recent letter I published on M-I
of the activities of Louis Proyect on M1 and his cop baiting.

In her letter she says that Proyect admits that he was destroying M1 and
the cop baiting of me was part of his plan and not really meant. (Perhaps
another joke?)

Unfortunately Proyect just recently repeated this stuff on Pen L about
Malecki being and agent provacateur and in the pay of the cops. So
naturally I take Zeynep's claims with a nip of salt.

Now naturally she argues that she wants to take M-I away from these old
fights. And in fact I could not agree more. But the problem is that the
moderaters have been treating Proyect with a silver spoon and expelling
others for rather minor infractions (Jerry Levi for example).

In fact serious accusations about Proyect were made about his being a
"snitch" who went to people's bosses and adminstrators. And the moderaters
swallowed Proyects "It was only a joke" hook line and sinker. Once again to
turn around and expell Aldolfo and Jay for threatening people on the list
with "icepick" politics.

Now once again she requests of me to lay this stuff aside on the pain of?

Well, sorry I can not do that. When Proyect apoligizes for his false
accusations against me without proof publically and in fact apoligizes for
the "Big Joke" on turning people in to the administrators. Then perhaps we
can lay this aside. Until then I am afraid that the history of M1 and M-I
are linked and that some quite despicable actions by Proyect against me on
the old list and "the big joke" on the new list M-I are in fact linked.

Now naturally the moderaters can certainly expell me for publishing
something about Proyects treatment of political opponents. And naturally
Proyects ravings are certainly not as serious as the death threats by the
Maoists. But I am certainly willing to take the consequences of any
decision by the moderators for any infraction along these lines.

With your record so far on the treatment of the little "angel" Proyect on
M-I actually nothing surprises me. In fact Hugh's post puts quite a bit of
political clarity into the present motion of the list and the various
twists and turns.(Thanks Hugh)

But until Proyect apoligizes for his real actions then he is going to have
to live with this stuff being published occasionally. And as his recent
actions on Pen-L prove Proyects is certainly not interested in any
retraction of these accusations. 

Just hoodwinking his pals who at present have been giving him the silver
spoon time and again despite his despicable 
actions. And as long as you use the moderater weapon to treat Proyect in
one way and Jerry in another way. Well you are just going to have to live
with all kinds of problems.

My suggestion is that Proyect apoligizes and you let Jerry back on the list
immediately..
