First of all I should tell you that it wasn't in a very promising context that I got to know about this mailing list. It was in a posting by comrade Adolfo, sent also to M-G, on 25.03, subject "M-G: Re: Monday Posts M-I (part two)". It read i.a. as follows: "In LeninList there are also ball and chains and we make no bones about them. Comrade Rolf will find he may join but that some of his posting will not be allowed, unlike in the malecki pigsty." So, some of the postings sent by me, who precisely since long have advocated and represented the political line of Marx, Lenin and Mao Zedong, "will not be allowed" on this (presumed) Lenin List, according to Adolfo, whom I've long tried to convince that he should give up his standpoint of defending the Avakianist reactionary "RIM Declaration"! This is really a counter-revolutionary statement by him, I have to point out. And I did so too, in an 8-part posting earlier today, "UNITE! Info #31en: What c. Adolfo's riddles hide." In this, I mainly commented on some of the other charges which he directed against me in that same posting I mentioned. They were 30 in all. I explained in detail what were really behind them. Well, so far, I haven't put any questions, have I, but I thought it was necessary first to explain the context to you both. I also had asked Jay about that list and got a reply on 27.03 which I didn't read until today. He was surprised I had missed the invitation to it, and posted one to me (thanks!), but with no date. I today also have posted an application to join the LeninList. Since I'm interested in this and since I read in that text that you both are on the LeninList Moderators Commission, could either of you please tell me, here on M-G: 1. When was that invitation first posted, and what was its subject line? And further: I also read that three other people, including Adolfo, are on that Moderating Commission. And he in advance wrote that "some of" my postings "would not be allowed". Therefore, could either of you please tell me: 2. Is there in fact a decision on the part of the Moderating Commission to disallow some postings by me? 3. If so, how will you decide which ones to disallow? 4. If a "yes" on 2, also, are there any other people concerning whom such decisions have been made in advance, without their so far having applied? 5. If a "no" on 2, that is, if this that comrade Adolfo maintained had no foundation in fact but was only a reflection of his own on how things *ought to* be managed by that Moderators Commission of yours, will you then rename that LeninList a) the "Nicolas- List" instead (after the last of the - old - Russian tsars)? b) the "AdolfoList"? c) not rename it at all? I read in the invitation Jay recently mailed me: "All genuinely progressive people need not fear discrimina- tion on account of any genuine discrepancies". So: 6. Can you affirm that this is really a rule? And one more question - I can guess that perhaps it's a difficult one: 7. What do you think of the abovementioned posting by Adolfo on 25.03.97 as a whole? (Note: It's reproduced in part 4/8 of that posting of mine earlier today that I mentioned.) I'd appreciate answers (here on M-G where others can read them too) to anything between 1 and 7 of the above, by either of you. (This will be sent to M-G, with Cc:s.)
