There were two  organised (sort of) Nolympics campaigns in
Europe recently in Germany and Holland. There was a
lot of material published by the German campaign with 
collated information about the negative effects of hosting
the Olympics. Unfortunately, I do not have the material to
hand but it might be worhtwhile asking any comrades that
might be in Germany if they can get their hands on some
of the publications. There were also a lot of tawdry tales from
Barcelona the year it was the Olympic city (like all the 
prostitutes being forcibly out of the city centre by the police
in case they tarnished the city's reputation).

I am sorry that I do not have any more concrete info on this.
