Once upon a time a list on Internet called "marxism-international" which has 
a server located at Jefferson.Village.virginia.edu which claims to be a list 
open for all who want to discuss the various aspects of Marxism. 
Unfortunately  a discussion about the "holicaust" centered around the 
Goldhagen book who's bottom line some of these "Marxists" say that the 
entire German people were and are the "willing" executioners came to the list.

Meaning that the Holicaust was a specific German event in history.

It must me made clear their were others who fought this garbage and did try 
and put both a class and political analisis to this historical event out of 
and entirely different perspective.

However this is irrevelant in regards to what is going on at this list 
today. Because the debate has turned into a "Jew" debate and this with only 
one (!) known German on the list. Today these marxists are using the "Jew" 
is under the bed kind of propaganda almost as fiercly as the Nazi's did in 
there rise to power. And in fact it appears that it is the side who oppose 
Goldhagen's theories who are the most fervrent expouses of this filth. In 
fact we are getting the modern day version from all sides that it is the 
"Jews" in one way or another are responsible for just about everything in 
the world. From Chomsky not getting any mainline media coverage, to 
controlling Wall Street, and being responsible for everything going on in 
the middle east and the world. That every "Jew" in America is in one way or 
another supporting "genoicide" against the Palestineans. I wonder if this 
applies to the so called "silent majority" during the Vietnam War? I doubt 
it as these "Marxists" are out after the "Jews" under the cover of calling 
this a "Marxist" debate!

These "Marxists" have in fact not only proved that anti-semetism is still 
alive and well, proving Goldhagen's theories ridiculous. But I believe are 
actually joining the right wing and fascists with supposed "left wing" 
arguements and viscious name calling and pie casting coming from all sides. 
In their ivor to prove a point. In fact it is they themselves who have 
become the point!

Well, I am afraid that the latest rounds of "discussion" show that the "Jew" 
question
is hardly a german question nor a bedtime saga and is once again being used 
on a "marxist" list to explain many of the evils of the world.

It is and outrageous scandal that a discussion on the holicaust has in 
itself brought out on the list a modern version of both back handed and in 
fact quite open "Jew" baiting in the worst  style albeit covered in honeyed 
words of "marxist" debate.

WARNING! Is the list crossing the Rubicon?

Radiotime Afghanistan!

This is the final draft report for Straight Facts Radio on
Afghanistan. Taped on September 13, 1997. 

Good Evening.  This is Bob Malecki reporting for Straight Facts
somewhere in northern Scandinavia quite near the Polar Circle!

Afghanistan -- Imperialist contradictions and Islamic
Fundamentalism.

If just a few years ago the UN "allied" and foremost American
military imperialist response to the Iraqi invasion of Kwait was
bombing them back to the Stone Age in "Operation Desert Storm",
new developments in Afghanistan have the American ruling class
and, not in the least, the darling of American women, in the last
election, Bill Clinton, down on their knees before the back-to-the-
Stone Age,  Islamic fundamentalists in Afghanistan singing to
the tune of "Allah Akbar" and Islamic fundamentalism!

And the key question in both of the above cases is oil!  ... the life
blood of modern capitalist/imperialist society.

Both Stalinist treachery and imperialist backed fudementalist
terror have left Afghanistan devastated, with a total breakdown 
of transportation, trade and economic life after years of civil 
war unto today where the Islamic fundamentalists with the support 
of their imperialists allies are marching backwards into feudal 
terror, especially for women!

In a recent report written for internal consumption for a very large
American daily newspaper I quote the following for our radio public:

>>Afghanistan, at war with itself, is not exactly a hospitable
place these days. Its rugged, mountainous turf is plagued by
kidnapping, corruption, and nearly 10 million land mines.  Travel by
Americans, the State Department warns, is ill-advised.

Marty Miller, a can-do Texas oilman, is just back from there.  He
chartered a plane into bomb-battered Mazar-e Sharif and
Kandahar to pitch a pipeline deal worth billions to rival Afghan
chieftains .... <<

And futher on, the following quote:

>>Large sums, indeed. Lured by analysts' estimates that there is
more oil under the Caspian Sea than there is in Kuwait -- with a
potential value of $4 trillion -- oil companies around the world are
racing to invest in the surrounding nations of the Caucasus and
Central Asia. At last count, U.S. companies had committed $65
billion to just Kazakstan and Azerbaijan. <<

>>In search of energy security far from Middle Eastern intrigues,

President Clinton and Vice President Gore have urged Caucasus
and Central Asian leaders to back American projects.  Three
Caspian region presidents have visited the White House this
summer, and U.S. senators and representatives are adding the
area to their itineraries.

The administration's goals for the nations in this suddenly lucrative
region are independence, stability and democracy, and a level
playing field for American companies. Failure would carry a high
price.<<

Again, those quotations were from a recent article in a major
American newspaper.

Translating these quotes into hard reality means that the American
ruling class, with Bill Clinton as frontman, is doing everything in its
power in this part of the world, after the  counter-revolutionary
destruction of the ex-Soviet Union, in order to gain control of the
enormous resources of the ex-Soviet Union in the form of oil in the
Caucasus and pipeline deals with the Afghanistan Mullahs in order
to get this black gold to the market ... including getting down on
their knees to the Islamic fundamentalists who want to take society
back to the Stone Age ...  not least over the bodies and skulls of
women!

The unspeakable hell which has descended on women, teachers,
doctors, working people, ethnic and religous minorities and all
secular elements in Afghanistan is the bitter fruit of imperialism's
unrelenting drive in capitalist restoration in the ex-Soviet Union and
erasing all of the gains that came out of the great October
revolution.

In another report from the Russian publication Zavtra, No. 31,
August 1997, item by the "Den Security Services Agents' Reports"
column, under the "Bulletin Board" rubric we read:

(quote) >>Information is coming in from Washington confirming
that the biggest U.S. oil magnates have given Aliyev (who was in
the United States on an official visit) a guarantee that Clinton
would soon forcefully deliver "instructions" about bringing
international troops into the conflict areas in the Caucasus instead
of the Russian Armed Forces.  The aim is to encircle Karabakh,
isolating it from Armenia, and to deploy subunits in Abkhazia and
South Ossetia -- and subsequently in the Ossetia-Chechnya
zone. Similar actions were also being planned at secret talks with
Shevardnadze, who will soon put forward a number of "significant
diplomatic initiatives."  During closed meetings, it was suggested
that officials from Azerbaijan's security services "plan and carry
out, in collaboration with their Caucasian ally [Georgia], some sort
of galvanizing actions that would trigger a new outburst, attesting
to the inability of the Russian Federation to control the situation in
the given regions .... <<

So what we have here is an imperialist version of bible thumping
(or should we say "Koran" thumping?) ruling class armed to the
teeth and wanting to use UN "peacekeeping" forces to insure that
the oil in this area of the world comes under their control.

This entire region is so strategic in regard to the various imperialist
powers, but also the new capitalist counter-revolutionary  rulers in
the Kremlin, it could very well make the communal bloodbath in the
former Yugoslavia look like kindergarden.  In fact it could be the
stage for a very big war if not a world war in the not-too-far-off
future.

Afghanistan is a direct product of the counter-revolutionary
cataclysm which resulted in the restoration of capitalism in Eastern
Europe and the former Soviet Union. This has emboldened
reactionary forces not only in backward areas like Afghanistan but
in West Europe and the US as well.

While some bougeois commentators are wagging their fingers over
the horrors being carried out by Islamic fundamentalism the major
imperialist actors are down on their kneees and begging to
intervene with NATO and UN military might in order to garantee the
flow of oil and profits to the coffers of the oil barons ... not least the
darling of American women, Bill Clinton -- who was elected by just
the women's vote -- recently being in the forefront of this
reactionary imperialist and Islamic fundamentalist block who see
women as human garbage that have NO RIGHTS other than to be
slaves or be stoned to death!

To say that the creation of a revolutionary Bolshevik/Leninist
International to change the present course the various imperialist
powers and the new rulers in the Kremlin are preparing for poor
and working-class people must be the understatement of the year!

Because if we are not successful we are heading down the road to
a scale of barbarism unheard of in our short history and in fact
perhaps the extinction of all organic life on this planet.  The chase
after ever new markets and profits in the growing atmosphere of
inter-imperialist rivalry is quickly taking us towards the abyss of
barbarism and perhaps extinction and only new social
revolutions under the leadership of a Bolshevik/Leninist Trotskyist
vanguard from Portugal to the Urals on this continent can save the
day ...
