The AFDL government in Congo absolutely has shown promise and has the support of a majority of the people there. And there *is* an awful campaign of vilification going on in the US imperialist and other imperialist media against it - one more sign that it may be quite good, btw. But trying to stop people from hearing these attacks by no means will help bring harmony. A "classical" error, on the part of people who apparently have good intentions. Mao Zedong always said it was necessary for the people to see and listen to the negative things too; in his time, there was published in China the "Reference News" - for CPC members at least - with excerpts from foreign (capitalist) news reports etc (edition some 500,000 copies).
