Supposing this was all some misunderstanding?

I'd be prepared to accept that. The archive of those
people does make a good inpression, I must say.

But then comes this *nasty* thing by them:

Their saying I'm a "secterian idiot" - without referring
in the least to anything that they might want to take
as an argument for this. Just out of the blue.

Such a thing, concerning anyone, shows at least a very
bad style, doesn't it?

Please tell the list subscribers, "mao_docs", *why* you
"hold me to be a secterian idiot"! Then we might have
some constructive debate!

People might even see for themselves who if anyone, really 
is or are of the "secterian idiot" type.

Why is it that I suspect you'll not do this?
