Subject: M-G: Notice to List Members



Dear List Members,

This morning the system administrator called saying that a "J.K. 
Marks" had complained about receiving abusive messages from my 
account. It is a total forgery perpetrated by "J.K. Marks" himself. 
I am enclosing the abusive message below. Note that it supposedly 
comes from "siddharth-AT-mailbox.syr.edu" while my email address is 
"siddhart-AT-mailbox.syr.edu", i.e., there is no 'h' in my actual email 
address name. Also, in my period of residences on these lists, I 
have never used curse-words or abusive language.

This incident has taken place after yesterday when I pointed out that 
a provocateur was operating in the M-G list under a variety of 
aliases like "Thomas P. Murray", "Liam R. Flynn", "L.R.F", "Roger C. 
Phelan, "C. Masterson",  "J.K. Marks", and "Noor Kahn" (this last 
in the old Marxism list). This provocateur has sent private and 
threatening messages to list members (I have received quite a few) 
and has also made a similar forgery attempt with Chris Burford's 
account.

I thank Louis Godena for taking stern action against this  individual 
on the M-I list. I request the moderator of M-G, Hans Ehrbar, to 
immediately expel the provocateur from the M-G list.
