Subject: M-G: Update on the Samara letter

Comrades,

I was away for three days and would like to update the
situation with our letter.

1. As to now, we have eight signatures (correct me if
I'm wrong, please), all but one (Greg Dawes) are from M-G.
They are:

Vladimir Bilenkin
Siddharth Chatterjee
Greg Dawes
Juan Fajardo
Nestor Gorojovsky
Marc Jones
Rolf Martens
David Stevens

2. Nestor suggested adding the following line:

> The Russian tragedy is a tragedy for the workers all over the world.

Any objections? In my view, the "Russian tragedy" sounds
somewhat vague and, as things stand now in Russia, may even have a
nationalist ring to it. So I would agree to include this
line in the end if changed to:

"The tragedy of Russian proletariat is..."

3. Robert Malecki and Hans Ehrbar have posted their
individual letters to the workers of Samara. I suggest
they email them to the following address:

stachkom-AT-transit.samara.ru (V. Kotel'nikov)

Perhaps I should've explained that not only Russian
workers and peasants but even the majority of the "middle
class" in Russia have no access to the Internet. Those
comrades who for whatever reason cannot join the collective
expression of support we're trying to put
together and who would like to express their solidarity
individually should use either regular mail or email if they
really mean to get their message across.

Vladimir Bilenkin
