certain message to the list on 11.05 from Mark Jones - repro-
duced in full once more below - was a *joke*.

Well, certainly a successful prank as far as I was concerned.
I didn't see through it as a a such. And given the types of
behaviour recently by various Spooners and/or close friends
of theirs, I wonder who *could* tell which apparent outrages 
might be "sincerely" meant on their part and which not.

Without commenting on how suitable or not to it might be to en-
gage in pranks of this kind in the present situation - what say
you, fellow M-G subscribers, should those engaging in them per-
haps be put up against a wall rather quickly and shot, ha-ha? - 
I'm now just forwarding this for other people's information.

The list is still in existence for a little while yet; it will
be closed on 23.05 together with the other Spoon lists having
"Marxism" as part of their names - unless of course Malgosia
Askansas too was joking, in her message on behalf of the Spoon
list owners earlier today (and my best guess on this is "no").
