Jetsetting for all, that's my platform comrade. What I object to is celebrities like Shiva, and all her cronies in the International Forum on Globalization, traveling all over the goddamn place flacking for their localist tomfoolery. Additionally, Shiva's line, which treats science as a western male intrusion, has given great aid and comfort to Hindu fascists in India. Shiva's main following is in the West. At an anti-World Bank meeting a few years ago, one of the participants remarked that there was no one from India present. All eyes turned to Shiva, and the speaker corrected herself saying, "Well, you know, you're not really representative of Indians, Vandana." Much laughter around the room.
