	I think that I have a good reason why Louis SHOULD schlep up to the 
conference: it is an opportunity to listen to a number of positions that 
may differ from his (or might even be complementary to his).  This way, 
Louis would be well informed on what the finer points of such positions 
are.  This will help make Louis a more effective advocate of his own 
positions.
	Were I not but a mere poverty-striken grad, I would have made it 
a point to attend.  Alas, now I fear I will neither attend NOR benefit 
>from the colorful and entertaining commentary which Louis could have 
provided us with:-(
