I dunno about Marx but will look up Liebknecht's book when I get back.  how
should we view the holidays (Xmas)?  A chance to have a break from the reign
of necessity I suppose.  A chance to grab a pint of guiness or two.  A
chance to think how the christians used the old pagan feast days to weave
their myths around.  

And then a thought about time and tides and how we age and how life passes
and how the sun waxes and wanes. And how despite it all the shit, life is
beautiful.
