As always, I follow the various exchanges on this list with
great interest. I'm still working on on the various helpful
reading list advice that I have received the last time I
asked. Hopefully one of these days I'll be at a point where I
can join in and add something useful to all of this, but the
level of discussion on this list (except for the occasional
personal scores being settled) is till a bit beyond where I am.

My question to Louis P. is: where might I find a good summary
of Castroism, either the basic tenets or how it might be
distinguished from Maoism, Leninism, etc. Thanks to many of
you on this list I'm getting a pretty good handle on what
separates some of the various Marxist traditions, but not
Castroism. I can read Spanish, so obviously reading whatever I
can find by Fidel would be smart. But can you (or anyone else
who might label him- or herself) a Castroite recommend any other
works? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

My current project is to read up on some of the major "third
world" (for lack of better term) revolutionary theorists. I've
already read Fanon and plan to read Cabral soon. Other African
or Latin American thinkers, either the "classics" or more
contemporary, would be helpful as well.

Once again, I'd like to thank you all for your contributions to
this list. Charlottesville, Virginina is not a hotbed of
MArxist activity (far from it) and the input that I get from
all of you is very helpful.

Keith
