Here's a BIG THANK YOU for Sohn-Rethel. If you just annonced this is
available at your website only a few would have accessed it. By this way,
you take the horse to the water (or the other way about?). The point is
this, people can contribute to the list in so many ways. When we have
entered an impasse and the debate turns sterile, then authentic texts become
necessary for all parties to refer to and converge back. And for this
particular debate it is absolutely essential. You could not have done a
better contribution than what you did. I am thankful for your consistent
efforts in this direction. Nobody is forced to read anything that appears on
the list. It goes for you textual contributions as well. If anybody dislikes
your valuable postings on the list then the software provisions are there to
trash them in a jiffy. I am looking forward to get the remainder. And George
Thompson too. And may I remind you that you gave notice about your intention
to post texts on mental and physical labour and I have been waiting eagerly
for the same.

Regarding garbling: I have Eudora, and it gave me three options in regard to
your garbled e-mail. Whether to leave it garbled, trash it or convert it. I
gave the right answer. However since you take all this trouble, may I
suggest you convert the text yourself in the following way. I suspect you
used "attach file" option to transfer direct from the word processing
program (wpp) on to e-mail. I suggest you copy from wpp and paste it on to
e-mail. This way it gets automatically converted to ASCII.
