This book is Mark Naison, Communists in Harlem During the Depression. It is
available, and is quite good as far as Isserman-type studies go. Comradely,
Charlotte

To marxism-international:

This as well as the previous post from Adam Rose "bounced" back to the
moderators due to a too lengthy header field.

I have a book at home called "Communists in Harlem in the 30s".
I got it through Bookmarks. I don't know if you can get it through
other channels as well. It describes how the CP grew from a
very tiny, mainly white, base in the early 30's into an organisation
which had a significant role in the Black "community".

Adam.
