I have been mulling over whether to get involved in this and on balance I am
going to have a go.  I was going to write off list to Lou and ask/beg him
not to get distracted by Comrade Levy. The latter is a psychological mess
and a misanthrop to boot.  He has little of use to contribute other than
bile and a useless obsession with Lou.

Lou on the other hand has never been writing more brilliantly.  His pieces
are informative topical and yes useful.  Only an idiot would  would not see
this.

So a public statement.  

I support this list.  It is well moderated and it is working.  Comrade Levy
has nothing to offer us but distraction.  I know appeals to ignore him will
in turn be ignored.  Such is the nature of cyber space that someone always
rises to the bait.

But it is my hope that Lou will not be one of these and that he will
continue his studies and his contributions to this list.
