    A number of us on t he list have worried about the problem you
say is driving you from the list, but no easy solution seems available.
If later you would like to try again, here is one possibility. Skim
and delete the list for a week or so, determining which posters or
threads you would like to receive, then ask someone on the list to
forward a sampling of those to you (with a reasonable limit). I
would do this for you at a later date (I am retiring this summer,
and am giving full time to making my last semeseter of teaching
a pleasurable experience).
