Oh no! Do not fear. I did actually meet Mr. Plant and had a few drinks with
him and his friends in a London pub, just at the back of the Conway Hall.
Most pleasant evening, indeed. We also agreed then the basic groundrules
for that debate, our respective Chairmen, times allocated for each speaker,
etc. I think we also mutually agreed that - with the end of year season
coming up and all that - the ball should start rolling again around this
time of the year.

Maybe you should kindly remind Mr. Plant of this too. After all, it was his
own idea, and he offered - in the first instance - to pay for the hall. As
far as I am concerned, I am ready, and so is my side of the bargain which
will be honoured in full, including to contribute 50% to the cost of the
hall, something we confirmed at our meeting back in November 96.

I think it would be sufficient for Mr. J.Plant to fix a date now and book
the hall. With the exception of the second and third weeks in February -
given that I have the Liverpool University presentation to prepare and
deliver then - any other time will be more than alright by me.
