I am moved to write In fact, we made a post condemning the expulsion of Miles & Olaechea (we did not realize it was only a temporary suspension) because people who support the People's War, no matter how imperfectly, tend to get marginalized and attacked in these Internet discussions. > this not only out of a personal knowledge that the above quote is > demonstrabIy false, but out of an elementary sense of fair play, as well. > In what way is anything we said false? We were responding to a good post that correctly pointed out that Adolfo Olaechea does not speak for the PCP, only himself. It is a fact that the MPP in Europe has strongly criticized Louis Arce Borja, both in the interview we mentioned (available in English if anyone wants it) and in their May 1st 1996 statement (ditto). The proposed World Mobilization Commission (which never materialized) was clearly an effort to confuse and split supporters of the People's War. These are not personal attacks but statements of political reality. We suggest you take Mao's dictum to heart "no investigation no right to speak". --- from list marxism-international-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
