I have long wondered how Engels felt about
his role as a capitalist. It gave him an
insight into capitalism and the means to 
support Marx. But he must have thought about
living off other peoples labour. Were the 
workers in his factories paid more than
others? Did they ever go on strike? Were
they unionised? Did Engel's comrades
and/or politcal opponents have anything to
say about his ownership of capital? How 
rich was he anyway? 

I have looked (not very hard) for information
on these matters but without success.
