		Neil,



	I never said that Engels was a bad guy, and I am aware of his
accomplishments.  The fact remains that he was a capitalist.  What he
should have done with his property is give it to the people who worked
there and then asked for their support in his efforts.  The reason it is
important to make the distinction is that capitalism today relies on the
dispersed and varied shareholder.  The majority of those shareholders are
decent people, trying to get a better return on their savings.  It is very
difficult to get people to associate them with the Robber Baron capitalist
of Marx's age unless one sticks to the specifics of property relations and
drums that into people's heads. 


	The message has to be that it does not matter what other
contributions a person makes to the general welfare, his efforts are reduced
and undermined by participating in capitalist property relations.  I think
Engels is a perfect example to use for people's illucidation.  Emgels was
a great man.  He would have been a greater man if he wasn't a capitalist.
