You can hardly go to any "avant garde" show - anything above extreme
shoestring levels, that is, people ranting poetry in a bar - in New York
City that doesn't get some money from J.P. Morgan, AT&T, or some goddam
elite foundation. This is the high art of the high bourgeoisie.
