Subject: M-I: On Irish Nationalism

My good friend Lois P. has been politiely suggesting that I might like to
put a contribution on Ireland to this list. I would love to but am
incredibly busy. Still I will try something between semesters. For the
present however I have been forced into posting on the Leninlist a riposte
to Paul Cockshott's remarks on the reactionary nature of nationalism in
general and Irish nationalism in particular.

This marks Cockshott off as a memeber of the rvisionist school of Maoism
that within the context of Ireland ended up supporting the British Army.

I regarded Cockshott's views as so obnosious and degenerate that I did
reply. Cockshott has come back at me and I have answered him. But more
serious work needs to be done on the Irish question, and I will make
something of an effort.

regards

Gary
