KARL: Hi Doug!

DOUG: Strengthens it? It's part of capitalism's deepest essence - to break
bounds, to cross borders, to monetize all social relations without
hindrance of law or custom.

KARL: This is a rather abstract perception of modern capitalism. The
laws of capital do not and cannot operate freely under modern
capitalist social conditions. The law of value is constrained by the
statal system. Even under what is termed, by some, globalisation there
still operates a managed and relative liberalisation. Capitalism is
so afraid of itself that it cannot allow its laws to operate freely
because of their relentlessly subversive character which can lead to
capital's very foundations being undemined by the working class.

However I do supect that there may something in your criticism of the
virtual perennial use of the term crisis among certain sections of
the left.

                                     Greetings,
                                                    Karl

                          Yours etc.,
                                     Karl
