Subject: Re: M-I: Bull Market

While, of course, no one can be sure whjen the Bull Market will end, I think
it wopuild be a mistake to think that if will end soon. The market, in an
exagerated way, reflect the basic health of the American economy. This
health in turn is the product of (a) the collapse of the Soviet Bloc ans (b)
the generally effective efforts at downsizing and lowering the real wages of
American workers. In other words the market does well because American
capitalism is doing well.

There are many factors -- including some classical Marxist ones -- which can
in time weaken American capitalism and bring about a bear market. But they
are not now significantly on the horizon.
