	Nice to see Australians talking about themselves and their isolated
instances of sporting success. The only thing you left out was lies about
the quality of your beer and wine.
Unfortunately though I must report that NZ is, on many counts, an even
sadder case of British colonialism than Australia. While oz got the
criminal classes we got the english yeomanry and a smattering of other
syncophants that seem to have written a particularly pliant and middle
class ethic into our working class. Harsh perhaps but the Australian s look
positively militant compared to many of the mealey mouthed no hopers in the
council of trade unions and Labour party.
I hope that these institutions in oz prove more effect in protecting social
democracies modest gains than they have here.
