I am sorry if I was a bit hard on you personally. I have an axe to grind
with regard to Trotskyism and South Africa.

Different Searchlight. I should have made this clear. I was referring to
the London-based anti-fascist magazine, Searchlight, edited by Gerry
Gable. Not the Hirson-edited searchlight on South Africa.

You do not really want to know my views on Trotskyism! They are no
secret anyway. With regard to South African Trotskyism, it has spent its
entire effort in fighting "Stalinism" in South Africa, and has done
nothing positive for the liberation of the country from apartheid or
capitalism. I shall not try to guess where they get their funding, since
I will be accused of being uncharitable. But thefact is that this
current has done nothing except try to undermine and discredit the
Communist movement in South Africa. As Hirson does this full time, it
seems fair to me if I call him a professional anti-Communist.

with communist greetings
