Subject: Re: M-I: The dictatorship of the proletariat.

The issue is not a false dichotomy of consciousness before the
dictatorship of the proletariat or the DOP leading to the "educating" of
the proletariat, but of the dialectical growth of socialist
understanding through struggle. The Church may have faith in the
providential development of human affairs, but it would be unwise of the
working class to relinquish control to any organisation over which they
have no effective control, with only faith that their interests will be
met.

There is certainly nothing elitist about anyone being in a better
positon to know the object and subject under consideration. However, it
is another matter entirely to be able to dictate to the subjects what is
to be done. The twentieth century has seen enough of commisars and
would-be commisars.
