I read a piece in the local newspaper - Orlando Sentinel - the
other day that reported about 96% of the printing & graphic-
communication companies in Florida are small, employing fewer
than 50 workers...77% of all printing-related businesses in the
state employ fewer than 10 people...when added together, they
form one of Florida's largest industries employing 81,000 workers
and accounting for 16.5% of all manufacturing jobs in the state...

I recall reading something a couple of years ago that about 50%
of the US labor force works in firms that employ fewer than 50
people...doesn't this circumstance have significance for the
development of class consciousness (hence, for mobilizing &
organizing)?...Michael
