No, not genocide against Israel, but the planned, systemic elimination of
the Palestinian people as a factor mitigating against a Greater Israel.

Professor Goldhagen, like his fellow Harvard Zionists Ruth Wisse (Harvard's
first professor of Yiddish literature -- her as of yet unnamed chair is
endowed by Martin Peretz), James Kugel (Starr Professor of classical, modern
Jewish, and Hebrew literature), and several others, is a rabid Arab-hater.
His paper, "The Scandal of Arab Rejectionism", delivered at a forum at the
Kennedy School last fall was so transparently racist, that it even
embarassed veteran Arab-haters Cynthia Ozick and Daniel Pipes.  Goldhagen's
book is inapprehensible except in the context of alibing the racist Jewish
state by singling out the Jews themselves as "uniquely" sinned against.  He
is a leading candidate to fill the proposed Zelaznik chair in Holocaust
studies at Harvard, whose search committee includes Wisse and Nathan Glazer.
The latter, especially, has been consistently strident in his attacks on
African-American studies and on scholars who suggest that the African
diaspora, 1500-1821 itself constituted a "holocaust".

Andy, this gang at Harvard is a vicious, reactionary clique of racist
eastern European Jews, bantering about a mixture of New England social
conservatism, Jewish nationalism, anti-Communism, and social Darwinism.  All
of this is dressed up in the garb of a glib scholasticism, masquerading as
"high culture".  They are, themselves, of the same variety as the Nazis, the
Know-Nothings, the Klu Klux Klan and all the other political gargoyles that
have, at one time or another, swam about in the sewers of "mainstream"
American politics.

And, yes.  Your defense of Goldhagen is outrageous and obscene.
