This raises the question of why Lou Godena is constantly forwarding
posts from Adolfo to this list despite the fact that he is unsubscribed.
It is
obvious that Adolfo is eager to debate Lou Proyect over "social fascism"
and the analysis of events in Cuba. If that is the case then why doesn't
he
subscribe to the list. The rules are fairly simple and straightforward:
three posts a day, no cop-baiting, and no physical threats (with or
without ice picks) against other list subscribers. These rules do not
seem too onerous.

BTW the other day in a post on this very same issue Lou Godena remarked
that he felt justified in forwarding posts from Adolfo since it was his
practice
to forward posts from unsubscribed persons even when they included
political and personal attacks on himself. Lou cited as an example a
post
I forwarded from Andy Austin which as Lou noted harshly attacked him and
that despite this he "kept still" and did not intervene. While Lou's
forbearance
in this regard is to be admired, if I fell into the habit of continuously
forwarding
posts from Andy to the list while he remained unsubscribed it is my
expectation that the moderators would step in to curb this. And they
would
be quite correct to do this because it is difficult to have a productive
dialog within the list with people who are not subscribed. Certainly,
the
discussion of whether the concept of "social fascism" can be meaningfully
applied to the analysis of existing socialism or of social democracy is
one
that is well worth pursuing on this list. Likewise, no list that calls
itself
marxism-international can ignore Cuba but it should be obvious that such
discussions can be pursued most productively if the main participants are
subscribed to the list.
