I have always argued on this list that, as far as humanly possible, we should speak to each other as individuals and not as representatives of organisations. But for those who are interested try http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/worldsm/ Not that it's relevant to any argument, but my parents came from County Cork (Skibereen). My mother saw the body of Michael Collins shortly after he was killed. (Let's see what the Freudians make of that!). My full name is Lewis Higgins; it's abbreviated in my email because that's how my friend's software is set up and it is thanks to her that I can get on the internet. >At present I am an independent Marxist with a distinctly Liberterian >flavour. In other words I loathe party building and the denizens of sects >who feel that they are the bearers of the truth when in reality all they >read is the internal party bulletin. I can go along with that. I suppose you could describe my politics as anti-Leninist Marxism. What I really dislike in the Leninist/Trotskyist approach to Ireland, etc is how manipulative it is; the workers are so much cannon fodder in the greater glory of building the party. -- Lew --- from list marxism-international-AT-lists.village.virginia.edu ---
